Features

Thousands of organizations around the world have come to rely on ProjectCenter’s wide array of easy-to-use features, including:

Project Dashboard View:
See all projects on which you are a team member from a single screen.  View all action items assigned to you, all new project information as well as bulletins and other notices from a single, consolidated dashboard. Enter a specific project and see comprehensive information about that project on a similar, easily navigated screen.

Project Templates:
Ensure consistent project delivery by defining standard project templates including folder structures, team members, security and workflows.

Project Directory:
Store participants’ addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail and other contact information in a central location so team members can easily stay in touch.

Project Calendar:
Schedule meetings and notify team members automatically using the built-in project calendar.

Cross-Project Reporting:
Create custom reports that gather information from one or multiple projects.  Project managers can easily find out how many RFIs are overdue or where an approval stands.

Meeting Minutes:
Track project meeting information from one meeting to another, helping all meeting members keep track of issues.  Organize minutes by issue, team role, or your own categories; change and add categories at any time; track attendees, action items and associated documents; and publish the minutes link to attendees via e-mail.

Configurable Forms: Create forms that define what project-specific information is to be captured and how it will be presented to the project team.  A wizard walks you through the process.  You can easily change Text, Drop-down, Date and Memo fields; attach documents; notify users; and quickly enter and edit information directly from the project log.

Document Viewing:
View over 200 commonly used document formats in a standard Web browser without having to buy applications or install plug-ins.

Document Management and History:
Track all user actions on documents – such as uploading, downloading or viewing.  Lock files to prohibit others from making changes, while allowing them to view and download the document.

Cross-Project Document Search:
Retrieve documents across multiple projects using a single keyword.

Flexible Folder Creation: Create and name folders to help organize project information that reflects the way your project team really works.

CAD Viewing and Redlining:
View, print and redline AutoCAD and MicroStation drawings and their associated reference files without installing AutoCAD, MicroStation or plug-ins.  When AutoCAD files are uploaded, the user has the ability to automatically search and upload associated X-Ref files.

Update Notification:
Subscribe to folders in order to be notified of changes to the content.  Team members can choose to be updated immediately, daily, or weekly, thus avoiding working on outdated information.

Fax In:
Send information to a project using a standard fax machine.  Since the faxed document is stored in digital format as part of the project documentation, other team members can view the document from their Web browsers.

Security and Access Configuration:
Specify default access rights per user (such as whether a team member is authorized to view, download or modify information), which can be further specified according to folder, application and directory.

Localized Versions:
ProjectCenter is available in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, allowing local project team members to work with the system in their native language.
